Eid ul Adha: Govt finally announces Arafah Day holiday

  • 28th, 29th a 30th June, 2023 (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) for the offices observing five days working in a week;
  • and 28th June to 1″ July, 2024 (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday) for the offices observing six days working in a week.Eid-ul-Adha Holidays

The Govt announce dates of the holiday will be from 29 June to 1 July 2024.The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on 29th & 30th June, 2023 (Thursday & Friday) being public holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.

Eid-ul-Adha 2024 Holidays In Pakistan will start from 29th June to 1st July 2024. However the dates may change because of Lunar calendar. As Muslim follow Lunar system for the festivities. Eid-ul-Adha celebrations start from the 1st day of  Dhu al-Hijjah. It is mainly Feast of the Sacrifice. As all Muslims know The Prophet of Allah Hazrat Ibrahim had a dream of sacrificing his dearest son Hazrat Ismail in way of ALLAH. Then Allah send an angel from heaven with a lamb and asked Hazrat Ibrahim to sacrifice the lamb instead of his son. The prophet do so.
